This week I launched my new podcast “Boardroom Governance with Evan Epstein” featuring in-depth interviews with leading corporate governance experts, including world-class founders, scholars, board members, executives, investors and more. The content is structured as a friendly, long-form, open-ended conversation to explore not only the latest corporate governance trends, but also highlighting personal insights from some of the best and brightest minds behind America’s boardrooms.
The inaugural episode features Professor Joseph A. Grundfest, from Stanford Law School. We discuss his career and experience as a securities regulator, scholar, founder, corporate director and legal advisor. We also discuss some governance hot topics, such as federal-forum selection charter provisions and the Sciabacucchi case, Elon Musk’s personal coverage of insurance for Tesla’s directors, ESG matters, and the treatment of conflicts of interests in early stage Silicon Valley startup companies vis-a-vis conflicts in publicly-traded companies.
